This is a set of 6 McKee Glasbake Crab Imperial baking dishes. These were manufactured in 1959 for McKee Glassbake Ovenware USA, which was a division of Thatcher Glass Mfg. Co, Inc., located in Jeanette, PA. These cute little dishes are shaped like upper crab shells, and were designed to bake and serve dishes such as Crab Imperial. The "tips" of the crab shells serve as little handles. Each dish is stamped with "Glasbake J-116" and "Pat 124843".

In addition to crab, these would also provide a lovely presentation for Bay Scallops, or to provide each place setting with a bit of extra Old Bay for your steamed Maryland Blues! For any dish requiring drawn butter, these would also do the trick - I am thinking artichokes! All in all, these little dishes make me hungry for some buttery shellfish! Thinking outside the box, these could also be repurposed in any room of the house to corral jewelry, change, paperclips, stamps, etc. - A unique nautical statement!

These dishes are in very nice vintage condition, the only blemishes being a few rough spots at the end tips, and just a couple of miniscule chips over the set of 6 - no impact to visual aesthetic or functionality. From tip to tip, they are 5.75" long, 2.75" wide, and 1.5" deep. Please keep in mind that for my vintage items, I only gently wipe them off, so items such as these should be cleaned before use. Please feel to convo with any questions.

Important Notes on Shipping:
Ship fees are maximum estimates until package is sealed/weighed, and destination known. Any overage exceeding $1 shall be refunded via Paypal, OR feel free to convo me with your location/zip code for exact cost.

I am always happy to combine parcels to lower your shipping fee! This applies to multi-item purchases from this shop, as well as mix-n-match purchases from among any of my Etsy shops (see links below). Whenever available, I recycle (clean only!) shipping materials to minimize costs.

Due to variances of sizes/weights of items among my shops, I do not normally post secondary shipping fees on listings. I do ship quickly, so if you have your eye on any additional items, please convo me right away! Combo rates apply as long as your initial package has not yet shipped out. Combo shipments are packaged in a single parcel, and shipped to a single addressee.
