This ceramic white and red jug style vase was made by Bay Keramik in West Germany during the 1960s. The vase even has part of the original Bay sticker attached.

The vase stands 17.5cms (7") tall and has a base size of 7cms (2.8") by 6cms (2.4"). At the widest point it is 9cms (3.6") square, at the narrowest 5cms (2") by 4.5cms (1.8"). The mouth of the vase is 3cms (1.2") by 4cms (1.6").

The white glaze is very interesting as it has a grey glaze that appears through it in a sort of speckle, melting fashion. The main panel stands out in the bright red glaze. The pattern in black contrasts nicely but is in keeping with the overall feel of the piece. The overall shape is typical of the era.

No chips, cracks or other damage.

A unique piece that will completement any home and add a bit of retro style too!
