Take a look into a bygone era with this antique 1800s monocle (trial lens) necklace. The monocle hangs down 5.25" and is adorned with a ribbon and diamond top. The chain is comprised of two sturdy vintage chains that I oxidized to match. The chain has diamond shapes similar to those of the monocle to complete the look. The monocle has a number 12 discretely etched into the glass indicating the very strong myopic (near-sighted) strength of this monocle. The super strong lens makes this piece extra unique.

This necklace is perfect for everyone with an affinity for a simpler time and place.

The necklace is 19.25 inches long and the monocle hangs down 5.25 inches from the chain to the bottom of the monocle. The necklace is marked with my signature "The Vintage Skeletons" tag. The monocle is 1.5" in diameter and 2" tall. The necklace can be shortened upon request.

Please do not regularly look through the monocle as it is not prescribed to work for your eyes.

The necklace in the pictures is representative of the one you will receive. The monocle does have two minor nicks near the number 12 on the glass lens of the necklace you are buying. Please keep in mind that the monocle is over 100 years old, and that the nicks are on the edge of the monocle so they do not detract from the piece.

Every piece of handmade jewelry I make contains at least one high-quality authentic vintage or antique component. I take great pride in searching for and using vintage or antique components whenever they exist as feasible. As a result, the quality of the pieces is something you can count on, and as an added bonus, by wearing something from the vintage era you are being green by preventing items from going to waste. Because I believe everyone should know what they are buying, I've included the following vintage/modern breakdown:

Vintage:
Monocle (antique), Chains, lobster catch

Modern:
Jump rings

If you have any questions let me know. Thank you!
