Wild Flowers of America series: Early Golden-Rod card

This one-of-a-kind (OOAK) pale gray folded card has a layer of handmade pale blue paper with wildflower seeds in it, and is topped with a page of a mid-1930s book on Wild Flowers of America. The book page has a color graphic of the early golden-rod and a description of the this wild flower species. I've sewn the layers of paper together.

The book belonged to a biology professor at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. There are notations in pencil on some of the pages (ranging from 1936 to 1940) noting where and when the professor spotted various wild flowers that are in the book.

The text on the book page:

EARLY GOLDEN-ROD - Flower clusters, dense with golden yellow flowers, curve downward. Found in dry ground, in thickets, banks in the extreme Northeast, south to North Carolina and west to Missouri. Blossoms from June-September."

The inside of the 4-1/2" x 6-1/4" folded card is blank, and the card comes with a white envelope.

This handmade card is from my pet-free and smoke-free home.
