This vintage Nemadji style pottery vase has a beautiful swirled pattern in cream and chocolate brown that looks different from every angle. The Nemadji pottery company was located in Minnesota, but these pieces always remind me of the American southwest. This style of pottery was often called Indian pottery because it was imagined that Native Americans might have made similar style vessels from Nemadji river clay. This particular piece is unmarked on the bottom, but has the characteristic weight and distinctive painting technique typical of Nemadji pottery. The neck is fluted at the top and the inside is glazed a deep green blue. This is a great vintage American pottery piece and is in very good condition with just a small amount of mineral residue on the inside from water staining.

Measures about 6” (15.2 cm) high and 4” (10.1 cm) across the widest part.

If you live in the U.S. and would prefer the slower but more economical delivery via parcel post please let me know and I will give you a lower shipping rate (amount of discount depends on where you live).
