PLEASE USE ZOOM BUTTON TO SEE EXQUISITE FEATHER QUILTING STITCHING ON THIS BEAUTIFUL QUILT**************************************************************************************

A lot of quilt for the money - truly a fine quilt....with heirloom quality feather quilting stitching.

I have made this large quilt ( 81 1/2" square) from reproduction 'Thirties' fabrics' in the traditional 'Drunkards' Path pattern.

Bright yellows, reds, blues, oranges, greens, purples, peaches and pinks are contrasted next to the bright white cotton in a smaller-to-larger pattern sure to grace any size bed. The white fabric has a sequin-y sparkle to it which have taken on a pale cream look against the pure white of the fabric itself. See picture #4.

I hand stenciled (quite a job) and machine quilted (on my home sewing machine - Husqvarna) with my signature feather quilting heavily all over this quilt with some areas left unquilted to add texture and dimension. In the corner quilting areas you will see birds amongst the feathers..though the pictures don't capture it. Really is very pretty, if I must say so!

I enjoyed making this (even though my arms ached for weeks - try to push all that material thru a little home sewing machine!) But I did and am proud of it!

The backing is a peachy/coral print reminiscent of simpler times.

This quilt will surely wrap you up with a homey feeling.

Many quilts sold are pieced by individuals and then sent out and quilted by others on a long arm quilting machine - and can be quilted , by expert machine operators, in just a few hours on the frame they are loaded onto.

All of my quilts, top and backings, are sewn completely by myself on my home sewing machine. I have held your quilt in my lap, my arms and hands, for many, many hours, for many, many days, creating for you an absolutely hand-crafted, by Truelove, quality quilt!

My look is definitely more 'hand made' and not as pristine as the perfectly computerized machined stitches and patterns - which is achieved on a long arm machine. (and with Hand-Crafted comes irregularities and imperfections - but with LOVE stitched in every stitch!!)

I machine quilt every inch to two inches on my quilts which involves a tremendous amount of stops and starts and thread changes. I quilt on my Husqvarna sewing machine (which can LITERALLY be a pain in the neck (and arms-and back!) with some of my larger quilts!!) using chalked stencil markings or free motion quilting which I make up along the way. This takes a super amount of time which I have to make up for in my pricing, but I think well worth the extremely personal touch.

I have laid awake dreaming at 2 a.m. of YOUR new quilt - from fabric shop -to planning -to cutting - to stitching - to finishing - to packaging - to you!!!!

I used Warm and White 100% cotton batting - the fabric is 100% cotton also.
Gentle cold machine wash, no bleach, gentle warm dry or lay flat to dry.
Your quilt will get softer and softer with use and lots of love! I have washed this quilt - it washed up beautifully!

I can ship internationally but because the costs would be very high I have guesstimated the shipping below. I would let you know exactly what the cost would be before the transaction takes place with you.

My sewing studio is away from the rest of the home - we do have a beautiful cat but he never comes near my quilts - though he would love to!! We have a complete smoke-free environment however.

If desired I can personalize a label with custom embroidery for the recipient from info supplied by the buyer which can be attached to the bottom right hand corner of the back of the quilt for an additional $20.00
