These cutter quilt applique hearts are primitive and shabby. These hearts are carefully handcut and are not each exactly the same exact shape, they are primitive and meant to be that way.

These quilted heart appliques are hand cut from an old vintage scrap feedsack cutter quilt that has been well loved and used and is well beyond wear of its original intended use. This quilt was hand pieced and hand quilted around the 1940's. I have upcycled this cutter quilt to make available to you some new, fun. and shabby created OOAK(one-of-a-kind) prim heart shaped appliques that measure approx. 2" long x 1 1/4" wide.

You will be receiving the cutter quilt applique/embellishment hearts in the photos.

The heart appliques are three layers, patchwork quilt front, batting and a backing, just like a quilt and have raw edges. The feedsack fabrics are such vintage, fun and nostalgic prints that allows a piece of the past to live on. The hearts are fairly thin with bunchy cotton batting. The backing is a solid cream feedsack or unbleached muslin. The heart appliques are clean and ready to craft with.

These quilted fabric hearts are great for embellishment on wearable art clothing, tote bags or purses, use in scrapbooking, cardmaking, decorating gift bags, great for altered books, make your own brooch or pin by adding a pinback, they make cute ornaments, repair or patch an old quilt, incorporate them into your stitchery and just use your imagination for endless possibilities.

These are newly created hand cut applique/embellishments from a repurposed old vintage cutter quilt. Keep in mind that the hearts have a shabby vintage look and are cut from a previously used cutter quilt and there may be some imperfections such as fabric fading, thinning, loose threads in the seams, areas where batting may show through, spots, stains or small holes that add to the beauty and charm of this item.

Great for your primitive crafting!!! They can be stitched on, use a dab of glue or even use the scrapbook adhesive squares.
