Did you grow up loving the wizard of Oz books? Do you love the character of the scarecrow? I made this Scarecrow of Oz story character crochet bookmark to be a friend of any reader. His gunny sack head with straw hair and fudge brown floppy hat hangs outside the book.

He has a deep blue shirt and autum brown pants all tied together by crochet rope to keep his stuffing inside.

He is clinging to his diploma that proves he has a brain which can hang outside the book to remind any reader that there is more story to go. Anyone would love to have him as a friend to read with.

** This would make a delightful gift to give to anyone who loves to read.

** What a wonderful award for any academic achievement. Give to a graduate to acknowlegde that reading is a life long habit. What a great gift for any loving father who loves to read.

I made this bookmark from 100% crochet cotton thread for easy washing if need be.

This reading character measures 2 1/2 inches (6cm) wide by 8 1/4 inches (21cm) long.
