Some Nights Stay Up Until Dawn as the Moon Sometimes Does for The Sun. Mawlānā Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī, or more simply known as Rumi, wrote some of the most beautiful words honoring the divine love of the universe. These are just a few. I am honored to put these on this humble canvas to share with you. I hope you find a connection with them. Perhaps, you will find yourself greeting the Sun's rise after a night spent in the glow of the Moon's light. Peace.

The canvas is 2 3/4 square; the overall piece is approximately 6 inches long; maybe a little more with the peak of the peacock feather on the top. Acrylics, paper, metalic inks and pen and pastels were used. Ribbon is "tie-dyed" silk and frames the canvas. Glass beads adorn the tree. Silk ribbon attach the tag with the poetic inscription. The crescent moon is "rough shiney" paper cut and there is a crystal star above the crescent moon. A symbolic dove hangs from the edge of the peacock feather next to the glass crystal beads. Brass beads adorn the piece throughout. A lover's heart shape is cut from a red rose petal and attached to the root of the tree.
