Whether you prefer to call it "schiller" or "adularescence," the fiery play of orange light in sunstone makes it one of my favorite gemstones. I hoard it like a magpie.

This brooch features a large, lively cabochon of natural sunstone with excellent color and bright schiller, topping a gleaming wedge of cast sterling silver. The lightly oxidized pattern of the silver was inspired by the rugged contours of nickel-iron meteorites. This is a unique cast, meaning that the hand-carved original wax was destroyed during the casting process, and so this piece is absolutely one of a kind.

A great way to wear a dash of fire!

• Brooch measures 1 5/8" high x 5/8" wide (41.5 x 16 mm)
• Cabochon measures 10 x 14 mm
• Features sturdy nickel pin with sterling hinge and clasp
• Cast in sterling silver from a one-of-a-kind hand-carved model
