Reluctantly, I am sharing my vintage flour sack quilt tops - I have so many and have decided to part with some of them as I will never get them all quilted!

This vintage quilt top has such pretty colors - a true vintage fabric sampler. Hand pieced with flour sacks - the patterned ones for the blocks and the plain ones for the border. There are also some other cotton fabrics that were available at the time mixed in. It is 5 squares long by 4 squares wide. You are seeing both sides of it in the pics. There is some yellow bleeding that may come out - if you know how to get it out - or it may not. Some places are darker than others. And, I noticed some faint dark markings on one side of the edge on the white flour sack edge. Zoom pics for details. Size is 66" x 78". Colors and patterns are beautiful. Zoom the pics to see closely. ca 1920s - 1940s.

You don't have to worry about funky old smells or dry rot - I soaked and laundered it and it is intact. Fresh as a daisy and ready to be made into a quilt or just laid over the top of your bed. Made from all cotton flour sacks and period fabrics. Thanks for looking!

Although I put much care into my vintage textiles and examine them closely, there may be small imperfections that I miss.
