The classic look of an outdoor patio table and benches! So much better than a picnic table - our step by step plans let you build an incredibly strong and durable outdoor (or indoor too) table that will stand up to everything! This plan combines our classic 60" x 36" table along with our 2 x 4 bench plans to create a great outdoor or indoor seating area. Just to clarify, these are our table and bench chair plans - we also have table and chair plans in our shop too.

Table:
Using only (3) 2 x 4 x 8’s, and (6) 2 x 4 x 10’s – you can create a 60″ long x 36″ wide table that is both strong and elegant. It can easily have a hole drilled out to accommodate an umbrella - and can be built from standard lumber, treated lumber - or even cedar if you like.

Benches

The benches use only (5) 2 x 4 x 8's to create an incredibly sturdy and elegant 4' long bench that perfectly fits on each side of the table for great seating options! The bench plan material list can be modified to create and size bench from 2' to 8' using the same plans.

Not only are 2 x 4’s inexpensive and easy to work with, they are amazingly strong and durable. And their heavier weight makes them perfect to stand up to outdoor winds and storms.

This DIY 2 x 4 table and bench set can be built with ease in a single afternoon with these easy to follow, step by step plans that include complete material and tool lists to create both the table and chairs. And with the most basic set of tools! If you have a drill, square and a circular saw or jig saw - you can make this!
