This rare and desirable book piece brooch by Boucher dates from between 1949 and 1955. The brooch depicts a goldtone riding crop with seven red rhinestones forming an L shaped base.

The body of the riding crop consists of a rounded rectangular stick with a coiled wrist leash at the head, all in a goldtone metal. At the base of the brooch, seven 3mm square deep red rhinestones form an L shape tip.

The brooch measures 2.94 inches (75mm) long by 0.52 inches (13mm) at its widest point.

The markings "BOUCHER" and "3045" can be seen clearly on the back of the brooch. The lack of copyright symbol clearly dates this piece as being created prior to 1955.

This brooch can be found on page 127 of "Costume Jewelry 101" by Carroll.

There are no missing rhinestones. This brooch is in excellent condition with no visible flaws. The fastening pin is straight and works well.

This brooch is in near-mint condition, and is a stunning collector's piece.
