Please meet mother hare Wisp.

A textile ornament of a real-size mother hare to display fondly in your home.

Wisp is a very beautiful hare. So beautiful infact that she spends most of her time away on modeling assignments. And having had a couple of leverets has not done her figure any harm at all! Infact if anything, she has become even more lovely. When her babies were first born she took them on the photo shoots with her, in a little bassinet. Everyone was fascinated to see how small they were and how quietly they slept, but then again it wasn’t every day that they had a hare on location either! Wisp has taken it all in her stride and none of it has gone to her head at all. She knows how lucky she is to have this opportunity and is a super ambassador for hares around the world, what with her friendly personality and caring nature. And since her appearances in leading fashion magazines there has been a remarkable change in the trend to faux fur and the use of more sympathetic materials. Ofcourse it helps that Wisp is on the cover all rugged up in the latest faux fur collar and cuffs! And my, my, doesn’t she just look a treat! She has had quite a few dinner invitations from admirers, ofcourse all for vegetarian restaurants! And not a male hare amongst them! Never-the-less Wisp is very keen to meet ‘the one’ and she keeps an open mind about who it may be. It wasn’t the father of her little ones, but she is not going to spend time crying over spilt milk so she makes sure that she looks her best every day for when they do meet. Because as a true romantic she knows that she will meet him, some day, somewhere …. not that she is counting the days mind you!

Wisp is looking forward to relaxing on your armchair in between her assignments. She has a very full schedule though and will most probably be spending the best part away in exotic locations. You would be surprised to know that actually wearing faux fur cuffs on a beach in the tropics does well for their sales! Imagine that? She will be very happy to bring you back a lovely souvenir though from all the places she visits. Do you collect snow domes by any chance? Or small wooden animals or handmade keyrings? Just say, she’ll be more than happy to keep an eye out for you. Ofcourse you could even accompany her along on a job or two as well. You could carry her bags, that would get you an all access pass. Mind though, no making eyes at all the single available admirers because one of them could be the man just for Wisp!

Wisp has been made with great care and she has safety eyes. She has been machine and hand sewn by me and will have many ‘unique’ (imperfect, handmade) bits.
However, she is not recommended for very young children and is not a toy.

She is made of a thrifted wool material that's a lovely russet red in colour, and has a polyfill stuffing, along with a full stomach of dandelion leaves (only joking!).

She stands approx 29cm high and 39cm wide (approx 11” x 16”).

Wisp is looking forward to her journey to her forever home!
She also wants you to know that baby hares are called leverets and mothers are does.
