Here is a mismatched pair of down-to-earth handmade wheelthrown earthy ceramic drinking cups or mugs for your tea or coffee a fine couple both with shiny blue glaze and ready for your eco-friendly collection or to help start one off.

The first is rather round and wide with a lovely large handle and a tri-toned coloring of offwhite with a thin middle band of a vibrant navy blue which is also used as a sparse drip around the rim and within, and then a darker running blue for the other half that has overlapped the offwhite and circle the foot of the piece. There are a very few specks throughout the offwhite. It measures 4 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter at the rim, 3" diameter at the foot. It is marked by hand on the bottom: "Kathy Van Hoof 2000 201"

The second piece stands straight up in its body with a rim that edges out and incised lines in its lower part with a wonderfully attached handle. It has about 3 shiny blues to black that run organically into each other and then a separate matte speckled sand glaze at its lower part. The striking sky blue at the top runs over the rim and into the cup inside. It is marked on the bottom: "Ashdale Pottery Products, Made in England" and probably dates from the early 1970s. It measures 4 1/4" tall and 3 1/4" diameter at the rim, 2 3/4" diameter at the bottom.

No chips, cracks or breaks in either.

Sale is for the pair.
