Unique and extraordinary hand fabricated fine silver ring with an amazingly reflective stone that magnifies COLOR CHANGE Alexandrite.
Other colors of Alexandrite:
Clear day, in shadow: bluish-lolite, bluish-violet.
Daylight, direct sunlight: pink with blue flashes.
Cloudy day: Icy blue/green, a bit like light aquamarine, although a bit darker.
In the theater: London Blue with aqua, purple, and pomegranate flashes.

It has a dispersion greater than diamond,
and this produces an abundance of color play and fire.

The ring is signed and stamped.
The ring is a size 7 1/2.

First of all, it would be good to know where and how Alexandrite was discovered. It was discovered in 1830 in the Ural mountains of Russia. Miners noticed that in daylight the gemstone would be Green or green/Blue, but in candlelight the gemstone would be Red, Purple or Purple/Red. Alexandrite was named for Alexander the Czar of Russia at that time.
