Offering a unique early 1900's antique piece. A charming Gibson girl photo mounted on a round metal piece. There is no hook for hanging so it is my guess, could have been used as a large brooch as this mounting technique is usually attributed to them

The woman on the picture is wearing the typical Gibson girl hairstyle, having that radiation of personality. Old photographs just seem to tell you a story of life by looking at them. Nice decor piece.

The Gibson Girl was the personification of a feminine ideal as portrayed in the stories created by illustrator Charles Dana Gibson during a 20-year period spanning the late nineteenth and early twentieth century in the United States. The "Gibson Girl" was the first national standard for feminine beauty. For the next two decades, Gibson's fictional images were extremely popular......everything merchandised bearing her image. The artist saw his creation as representing "thousands of American girls".

It is in very good condition. Light surface wear. There is an inch long scratch and a black spot on the surface of the photograph. Overall it doesn't stand out or disturb the charm of this piece.

It measures 6 inches in diameter. (the ring is shown for size reference and is not included)

Guaranteed vintage & authentic.
