An elegant late 19th century American made example of Victorian metal arts, this quadruple silver plated candlestick holder stands 7" tall and is 4" wide at the base from "paw to paw".. The parasol circular base sits raised on four lion paw feet.
Underside of the base bears the maker's mark: Hartford Sterling Co./ Quadruple Plate 13004. The marks can be seen with a high powered jeweler's loup. Harford Silver Company was located in Connecticut, USA.
The lovely patina is evenly worn, with a soft glow, having once been fully silverplated. There are no dents, cracks, scratches or repairs.
