Description:
Betty is a small summer top of simple shape with drooping shoulders. Knitted in a fine vegetable yarn that creates a pretty drape, this top is made with a positive ease of about 20 cm for a comfort very appreciated during the summer season. It matches my boss' kimono Lauren. It thus takes up the lace pattern of the kimono on the lower body, as well as the openwork pattern on the neckline and the small sleeves. Two options of length are available to you: a short version (cropped) to wear with a skirt or on a dress and a classic version, longer to wear on pants or shorts.

Sizes: to choose your size, it is recommended to take the measurement of your chest circumference and to add 20 cm to knit the corresponding size to the chest circumference of the finished garment
34-36 = 100 cm
(38-40) = 110 cm
42-44 = 119 cm
(46-48) = 130 cm
50-52 = 139 cm

Materials

Yarn:
Betty can be knit from a lace to sportweight yarn, depending on the texture you prefer. No matter the yarn weight, it should be knit at the same gauge as indicated below.

Quantity:
580, (634), 704, (784), 862 meters for the cropped version
725, (788), 880, (970), 1080 meters for the « classic » version

Gauge 10x10 cm (in stockinette stitch – 3.5 mm needles): 22 stitches x 34 rows.

Circular needles (80 cm cables)
3 mm and 3.5 mm
Change needle size to obtain gauge

Notions:
Cotton yarn for the provisional cast on
Yarn or cable to put sitches on hold
4 mm crochet hook
2 stitch markers, 1 removable stitch marker
Optional: extra stitch markers to seperate lace pattern repeats
