Charlotte Bronte - what a life filled with such tragedy. All of her sisters and her mother dying. Her life cut way to short to die at 31 of what was deemed as "exhaustion." To top it all off an overbearing father that just would not let her be.

Her famous novel Jane Eyre, was first published in 1847. People did not know what to make of it. There were those that held the book to be anti-Christian, others were disturbed by a heroine so proud, self-willed, and essentially unfeminine. The modern reader may well have trouble understanding what all the fuss was about.

This bracelet contains 9 portraits of Charlotte throughout her short and tragic life. The cameos measure an inch in height and the images are protected under clear cabochons. There are charms of a tea cup, a vintage locket, a key, a letter with a note tucked inside that says "I Love You," a vintage rhinestone heart charm, a vintage cameo in a beautiful burgundy tone, a book that opens and closes and more.

The piece measures 8 inches and can be lengthened or shortened at your request.
