Cedar Planter Plans / Raised Planter Box / planter box plans / garden box / Outdoor Planter / garden bed / Elevated Garden Bed

The instructions were excellent. I am by no means a wood worker but I was able to build it completely by myself in about 3 hours. I did have trouble finding the exact sizes of cedar, but I made it work with what I had. I also shortened it to 24”. I didn’t want it quite that high. I originally purchased this plan because I liked the little trim piece on the bottom, but after building it, I may leave this off. I like the color contrast that exists now. Here is my photo before any stain.

I used these plans as framework and modified to 84" long, 26" wide and extra 6" deep put on casters. Came out nice!

Plans were easy to follow. Cutting list perfect. Planter Box turned out nicely. I made a couple changes to the plans in case I build this box again. First, the visual plans direct you to build the legs with the 2 x 2 side facing out on the long side of the box ... picture above shows 2 x 2 side on the end which is preferred. Wish I would have caught that error before glueing and screwing the side boards. Second, I recommend using pneumatic nailer for the top and side trim boards rather than screws (if available). Looks cleaner. My mother in law will love it.

I purchased the plans for my dad who needed the dimensions to make me a planter. The plans were great - very detailed and exactly what we needed.
