Beautiful vintage bowl from the town of Makkum in Friesland in the north of The Netherlands. In some towns in Friesland they have made earthenware since 1592. Makkum, Workum, Harlingen and some other towns, to name a few. This bowl has been in my possession since the late 1960s. It is signed on the bottom with "Makkum" and the logo of the painters "Pleysant & De Graaff". Sadly, it has a hairline crack in the glazing, about 2 cm long on the outer side and a bit shorter on the inside; this is visible on the last picture where I have added arrows to the beginning and the marginal end of the crack. Knowing the rarity of this type of Delft ware, this bowl may still be treasured by someone.

Diameter: 14 cm (5.5")
Height: 6 cm (2.4")

All items come from my own vintage collection; because of space shortage, I sell parts of it here on Etsy.

Payment can be done by Paypal and within the EU also by direct bank transfer. Details on request.
