This has been in my possession for years and once proudly adorned an art deco vanity table I had. I used it to store a pair of earrings from my father and a ring from my grandmother that I treasured during my teen years. It is a goldish-mustard guilloche lidded dresser jar, which has an enameled oval centerpiece that was handpainted. There is also some handpainted work around the centerpiece, so I have not made any attempts to clean the lid beyond dusting it so as not to effect it in any way. Under the lid, is still an original cardboard piece that is fitted into or attached to the lid (I am not removing it). The metal on the lid has a lovely petina that attests to the age of the piece. The glass jar itself is in perfect vintage condition, no chips or cracks, and it has been gently washed and dried.

Would be a great piece to add to your collection or to store your own small treasures in. This jar is about 2 and 1/4 inches in diameter. I would say this piece dates to the 1920s, give or take a decade. It is not marked by any makers that I can see, but it is simply charming.

Hanky is ***not*** included, sorry. I used it to cut some of the sun glare coming through my skylights and off the table.
