This odd advertising piece is from the early 1950s. Metal, painted rain guage (without the glass collecting tube) from WARD'S FURNITURE AND FUNERAL HOME. (Nothing like blending two businesses into one!!) Night phone and day phone numbers listed. Hmmm...

There is a metal dial at the top to record the rain level from one rainfall to the next.

4.5 inches wide by 5 inches tall. The base has two holes to nail ito the top of a fence, etc.

In good shape for its age, and all original barn dust is included.

Eclectic, Morbid Rain Gauge from 1950s
