This delightful, detailed, wavy octagonal very vintage tin was made to hold fruit drops by the Horner Company in England, which manufactured fruit drops mid-century.

Stamped on the back with the manufacturer's name, the tin depicts in exceptional lithography, a female equestrian, side saddle on her white horse, her trusty brown dog watching as she plucks berries from a tree. The details are magnificent!

A true collectible portrayed in vibrant colors (yellow, brown, red, white, blue), the tin not only tells an evocative story, it nudges us to recall a more genteel time in history (imagine plucking your mints or gum from a holder this stunning and not a paper wrapper).

Tin is a rounded octagonal: 5-inches wide, 4 3/4-inches tall and 1-inch deep. In very good vintage condition, it has been gently used and bears some small scratches - TOTALLY EXPECTED, but much better than one could HOPE for - that do not interfere with the stunning picture, and that do not detract from its charm -- or it's story.

Tins of this shape which are lithographed and depict hunting life are much rarer than most. A grand collectible.

Though made in the 1930's, this tin can be a deliciously delightful SHABBY CHIC item, great for a dresser top or vanity: perfect to hold small trinkets and treasures: adding personality WHEREVER you choose to put it!
