Description

These bracelets are made from used and broken guitar strings, which would have been landfill-bound, were they not turned into wearable art.

They're dainty. If you're looking for something chunky (or maybe something for a guy?), check out the bass string bracelets! http://www.etsy.com/listing/81117592/bass-string-bracelet

I get my used and broken strings from a number of sources: live shows, musician friends and music stores, primarily. Because each musician has her or his preference as to the type of string they play, I end up with a variety of used ones: silver, copper and bronze, mostly. What you're getting is dependent on the materials I have in stock.

These guitar string bracelets are very lightweight and eye-catching. Each bracelet is handmade and one-of-a-kind, and some still have ball-ends attached to them.

These are closed bracelets. The average size is a little more than 2 1/2" inside diameter (7.85" inside circumference). If you want to measure your hand to see if these will fit, you can measure around the widest part of your knuckles... where the bracelet has to slip over to get to your wrist. It should be a bit snug over your knuckles, so it doesn't fall off. If you don't have a measuring tape, wrap a string or shoelace around, mark the spot where the string meets itself and lay it across a ruler or tape measure.

If your hand measurement is bigger or smaller than the average, let me know and I can custom-make one (or more!) for your size.
