Best Father's Day Gift. This is a digitally hand drawn, detailed artistic rendering of the Inverted Jenny Postage Stamp, Digital print only, frame is not included. It took over 22 hours with alterations that were made to protect the authenticity of my artwork. The laser printed stamp artwork is 2.75" high x 3.25" wide and made to appear on a black background, with a burgundy boarder creating a 4" x 6" print for smaller picture frames. There is an added white boarder allowing for a 5.5" x 8.5" print to fit larger picture frames with a mat, which can be cut off to fit the smaller frames. The two WATERMARKS are for the online display only, they will not be on the sold print. The Inverted Jenny Postage Stamp is one of most famous printing errors in U.S. Postal history. It is also known as an Upside-Down Jenny and Jenny Invert. One of the recent authentic stamps of the only one pane of 100 of the invert stamps was auctioned for $1.35 million in May 2016. The original stamp, approximately 1” square, is a 24 cent United States postage stamp first issued on May 10, 1918, in which the image of the Curtiss JN-4 airplane in the center of the design is printed upside-down. The Mystic Stamp company in 2020 lists stamp #27 of the original stamps for just over $510,000. My artistic rendering, SOLD AS A PRINT WITHOUT THE PICTURE FRAME, would make a unique gift for the stamp collector of any age. It is a detailed art piece that will start a conversation about stamp collecting and the true story about the Inverted Jenny postage stamp, which can be read on our webpage. http://jamboza.com/inverted-jenny.html
