this is a fabulously eerie print of a bat looking like he is "flashing" his goods
the hand coloured lithograph was printed in switzerland in 1824

the print depicts a single bat with his wings in full display
he is definitely a boy bat! if you look at the scans closely!

it is an original antique lithograph that was hand coloured in natural browns at the time of printing in the early 19th century

the paper measures 3.25 x 13" with the bat image measuring 2.5 x 9"
~ leaving plenty of room for a matte and framing

a copy of the title page with the date, publisher and printer's information is included with the print

~shipping charges include full insurance against loss & damage~

i use recycled materials in my packaging. please let me know if you want new materials used to ship your particular package.

NB.as an original antique being over 100 years old there may be varying spots of foxing and aging... please look at the photos carefully!

i have a many more bats and other animals from this and other series...please check my other listings

thanks for looking!
