I think this great, eyecatching piece is supposed to be an anklet, because the length is a bit longer than your typical bracelet (8" not including hardware), but it would be very easy to wear as a bracelet if you wanted, and just clasp it in a little tighter. The color scheme as well as the quality of the materials used tend to make me think this piece is on the newer side. It makes me think of something we might have worn when I was in high school or college (aging myself here, ahem...), late 1980s to early 1990s, neo-bohemian hippie style. The quality is actually really excellent. The silvertone chain is strong and well-made, and all the charms and beads are high quality with no mold marks or seams. The lobster clasp is another tell. You don't typically see those on older pieces unless they are replacements.

The beads are of various types in several shades of bright and shimmery coral: Iridescent molded plastic in irregular rocky shapes; round moonglow Lucite or another plastic; glass chips meant to mimic semi-precious stones; what looks like dyed shell, in disk and shark tooth shapes; tiny faux pearl seed beads; Lucite shark tooth beads with silvertone caps. The largest beads measure 1 1/4" long. The smallest are just over 1/16" long.

Condition is excellent with no real problems to report. The lobster claw clasp functions just fine. A couple of the disk beads have chipped ends which appear to have been polished down, so they they look to have always been that way. Patina to the beads is mostly unremarkable.
