Here's a watercolor I painted on location in Junction, Texas on the South Llano River. Sitting on a little sandbar with the river stretching into the distance, I was captivated by the reflective quality of the water as it languidly flowed along and around me on a hot summer day. Interesting details include the reflections, the two large rocks sitting in the river, the smaller foreground rocks and pebbles in the shallows, and the surface quality of the water itself.

The water reflects the beautiful cerulean sky, except where interrupted by the dark green of the unseen trees and the brighter green of plants and shrubs. Brown, beige, and gray reveal sand and rocky details. In the foreground broken stalks in shades of gray create movement through their linear pattern.

The watercolor is approximately 15" x 22", and is painted on Arches 140 lb. paper. It has a half inch white border for ease in matting and framing, and could be framed in a traditional or modern style. This tranquil scene will lend a sense of serenity wherever it hangs!

Shipped flat with the utmost care to your location. Thanks for looking!
