This bold wood tribal statement necklace started with a piece of driftwood I found on the shore of Lake Erie. I shaped, drilled, sanded, and sealed the wood, then handpainted a cave art style scene on its surface. For protection (and to make the painting water resistant) I applied several layers of acrylic varnish with a satin finish.

The necklace portion is made with brown snow jasper, coconut wood, glass seed beads, and a solid brass toggle clasp.

You will receive the *exact* piece pictured here.

Laying flat, this piece measures 28 inches. The wood pendant is 4-1/4 inches long and each beaded side is just about 12 inches, clasp to pendant.
