This rough diamond engagement ring set is handcrafted from 14k solid gold. The price is for a set of 1 rough diamond ring and 1 wedding band, as shown in the photos.

If you are looking for a different, organic, one of a kind engagement ring – this could be a great alternative engagement ring.

The 2 cts rough diamond is set in a handmade prong setting soldered onto a delicate, half round dome gold band (same as the wedding band) . Both rings have matte finish.

The price of both rings is 880$.
You can also purchase one ring: the cost of the rough diamond ring is 670$ and the gold band is 230$. Just let me know so I’ll change the price accordingly.

Rough Diamond Ring size 6.25 - (12.5 European size).
Wedding Band size- 6.5 (13.5 European size).
The difference in the size of the rings is because when wearing them together, the one on top should be a 1/4 size bigger.
Diamond measures approx 0.6x0.7 cm and weighs 2.05 cts.

Rough diamonds are diamonds in their natural state, as they were removed from the depths of the earth and prior to undergoing the polishing process which lends the stone the glitter and luster that characterize diamonds in the eyes of the general public.

Diamond - represents purity, loyalty, undying love, trust and prosperity. Diamonds are actually created from coal. Although diamonds have an aura of power, they also have elements of tenderness and delicacy. Diamonds also help balance and healing, they reinforce self-confidence and protect against negative energies. Diamonds have also the ability to attract wealth (both material and emotional).

Sterling silver consists of 92.5 % pure silver and the rest is other metals, typically copper.
Pure silver is too soft and weak to make jewelry and therefore, other metals (7.5%) are added to improve to the quality.
To clean silver jewelry, use a soft polishing sterling silver cloth (you can purchase in every jewelry shop). Don’t use polishing cloth on an oxidized texture, as it will wear off.
For stone set jewelry, you can leave your jewelry to soak in a bowl of warm water with a mild liquid detergent before cleaning with a soft bristle toothbrush. Rinse under running water and use a soft cloth to dry the piece. This also applies to gold and platinum jewelry.
925 silver oxidizes when it is exposed to air, this is the main reason why silver jewelry tarnishes over time.
1. A sterling silver cleaning cloth can be a good solution, if the oxidation is not too bad.
2. Any silver cleaning paste/liquid will also clean the oxidation.
3. Baking soda, aluminum foil and boiled water - can do magic with sterling. Here are two short videos that demonstrate how it works. (It is not recommended to do if the oxidation is part of the texture/ design of the jewelry as it will come off) :

Jewelry with a matte finish (especially rings) may take on a polished appearance over time. Matte finish doesn’t stay forever. To restore the matte finish - take a new ScotchBrite (the green coarse kitchen sponge) and rub over the surface of the ring. It will bring back a matte finish. It might also cover (obscure) scratches if they are not deep. (For jewelry with stones - (Please note: ScotchBrite can be damaging to softer stones, so it is advisable to protect the stones by covering them with cellophane tape prior to buffing.)
Oxidation tends to fade over time. For re-oxidizing you may use bleach (yap!) deep the silver part of the jewelry in bleach for few minutes or for an hour.
Another home method – is using boiled eggs (!!!) as explained in this short video: http://jewelrymakingjournal.com/how-to-oxidize-sterling-silver-and-copper-with-boiled-eggs/

You can also buy the special oxidation liquid (Liver of sulfur) . Beware! It smells like rotten eggs (because of the sulfur). Please use caution when using it! Read the instructions carefully !!!
here’s a link for oxidation liquid: https://www.riogrande.com/Product/midas-liver-of-sulfur/331030
Please refer to “How do I keep oxidized jewelry from losing its oxidation? “
After restoring the oxidation, you can use ScotchBrite to reveal the hammered texture. Just slide the jewel slightly on the ScotchBrite, make sure you use minimal strength.
