A little "Tell-A-Tale" book by Whitman Publishing Co. titled: "Marge's Little Lulu Uses Her Head". Being raised in the late 50's and early 60's, I didn't see a Superman, Spiderman or Green Hornet comic book - not in my entire first 25 years! What I did read was a lot of Little Lulu, and my very favorite comic book was Betty and Veronica. I know if I ask my kids and their kids, they would tell me that they never heard of Little Lulu...what a shame. She was the cutest little girl, sort of the American version of Pipi Longstockings - Oh, you haven't heard of her either? I know some of you have... Little Lulu's co-conspirator was a little boy named Tubby - just try using that in a story nowadays. Like all children's stories, Little Lulu solved her problems with the help of best friend, Tubby. The book does show it's age, battered and frayed and a couple of tears on pages, but still entertaining, and any child will still enjoy the story. I thought about just framing it and hanging it on the wall...but, my walls are full, real full.
