Want to look like you just stepped out of the pages of a Jane Austen novel? Searching for just the right color combination to go with your empire gown? Want to make your own unique headgear without starting from scratch? This finishing kit is designed to trim one of my Regency era Decorate-Your-Own bonnets, but you can certainly use it on other things as well. It looks nice when used to trim plain straw hats too. Although it was designed with the English Regency in mind, a bonnet decorated with this kit would also make a lovely accompaniment for an early Victorian or American Civil War costume.

Start with a piece of bias-cut satin or taffeta (because who wants to buy a whole yard of taffeta for one bias strip?) to either decorate your brim make a ruffled band for your crown. Add braided trim around the crown, and long ribbons to tie it on. Feathers, ribbons for a bow and a pin back allow you to make a removable decoration. If you want further embellishments, add silk flowers or one of my ribbon rose brooches.

Kit Contains:
Bias-cut strip for brim or ruffle
Braided trim for crown
Ribbons for ties
Ribbons for bow
Feathers
Pin Back
Instructions

The wine finishing kit would look lovely with any of the ready to decorate bonnets.

The best way to measure your head is to go across your forehead and just above your ears. You want to measure around the largest part of the head.
I accept returns. Please contact me before sending an item back. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. There is a 50% restocking fee for returns on custom made items. There is a 25% restocking fee for costume items purchased during September and October and returned after Halloween.
I can ship to any country, but it is the buyer's responsibility to find out about any fees, import taxes, or regulations regarding importing (this especially applies to feathers). I do not know the laws or import fees for each county and can't be held responsible for policies set by your government.
Shipping varies by destination, with shipments to some counties taking two to three weeks to arrive. Sometimes packages are held at local post offices and customers must pick them up in person and pay an import tax. This varies by country. Sometimes your post office notifies you and sometimes they don't. It is a good idea to track the package yourself (go to the You section of Etsy, select Purchases and Reviews, and hit the Track Package button) and check with your post office when you see that it has arrived. I have no control over this and can't help if your post office holds your package or charges a fee.
