Russian Ornaments are laser-printed on the reprinted double-sided page of the vintage "Vassilisa the Beautiful" russian fairy-tale book, that was illustrated by a famous russian artist Ivan Bilibin.

Ivan Bilibin (1876-1942) -- was a russian graphic-illustrator and stage designer. He created a distinctive "Bilibin's style" of book illustration, based on sophisticated styling motifs of folk and medieval Russian art, such as "lubok" (russian popular print, characterized by simple graphics and narratives derived from literature, religious stories and popular tales), embroidery, wood carving, miniature manuscripts, etc. Strict graphic quality picture, flatness of the forms, ornamental and decorative solutions bring together the art of Bilibin with graphics in the style of "modern".

Bilibin's illustrations to the Russian fairy tales and epics recreate a fabulous and fantastic world of Russian folklore.
