Here is a wonderfully wearable collector piece for your wardrobe! An iconic "Plain Jane of San Francisco" Prairie style dress. Completely fresh and modern in the late 1960's or early 1970's when this dress was designed but completely retro and in-style again today! Plain Jane was a company started by a couple of hippies that grew into Esprit de Corp which still exists as Esprit today!

The history of Esprit includes many details about the origns of the company and can be read here:

The dress is a pretty cherry red with calico type floral designs heavy around the neckline, cuffs and bottom hem and scattered more loosely about the body of the dress. There is no fabric content but this feels like a poly/cotton blend to me. In good vintage condition with some pilling to the surface as this type of blended fabric can often get. Has an adorable double tie detail at the neck, puffed sleeves and flattering shorter length. The dress has belt loops but I did not find it with a belt so I have shown it with a belt in most of the photos (belt sold separately). It is a vintage size 5, which is a contemporary extra small to small. Please check measurements below and ask any questions you may have.

Measurements (taken flat) are:

Shoulders: 15/16" (not traditionally cut)
Armpit to armpit: 19"
Waist: 18 1/2" (unbelted)
Length: 40"
Sleeve length: 18"
