Hickok silver plated belt buckle, marked Hickok, Master plate, and Bronze at the back. Front is worked in a lovely hammered pattern with rather art nouveau triangle of ivy(Hickok opened in 1907, but I would guess this is the 1910s into the early 1920s). It also has the initial "E", as Hickok made many monogram items. The "E" is still nice and black with enamel paint inset, but the ivy has lost some of the lustre of the black background. The entire piece is chamingly aged with a nice petina. There are no dents, bends, or rust. The hinge still moves like butter, so it can be used with a new sash or belt.

I got this buckle when I was younger, before I had kids, when there was... less of me. I would love for it to continue on to yet another life.

Hickok belt buckle initial "E" with ivy
