We here at the Arb have a serious chair addiction. We can't help it though - some of the designs from the 50's and 60's are truly remarkable and are even more beautiful today. It's not too often you come across a new design that you haven't seen before, but when that happens, it's a great rush of excitement to get something truly unique - so this chair has been great for us!

We offer for your enjoyment: a rare vintage Plycraft task chair designed by George Mullhauser from the 1950s-60s in good vintage condition. This molded plywood chair swivels 360 degrees and has all four original glides. The four legs are also each molded plywood over a cast iron support. The seat is soft and the upholstery in excellent shape, the bent wood shows amazing color and wood grain, structurally strong. Best of all, the Plycraft labels are still intact. There are some nicks on both sides, a small section on the back where it is slightly warped (only noticeable if you run your hand over it), and the metal legs have some rust/oxidization and a few bangs - please see the photos.

These chairs rarely come up! Perfect for your desk or as an accent chair in your mid century modern home!

Measurements:
31" tall x 19" wide. The seat height is 18" from the floor.

Assembly required (securing the swivel base to the seat).

*Shipping will be via UPS Ground (and is calculated for the west coast) with tracking # and insurance. We will happily refund shipping costs paid in excess of the actual cost to ship. Shipping to Chicago and east are closer to $55.
