Antique General Electric Clock, Telechron Framingham Model 8B10, 1932-1938. What a find! This gorgeous old thing is chipped and distressed (the wood top is separating from the body on the right, as you can see in the second photo) but still appears to keep perfect time when plugged in! The numbers for the hours and minutes rotate on a drum, and there is even a dial for the seconds on the right. There are no dials to set this - simply place the tip of your finger on the dial and move it to the desired numeral - you will feel the satisfying counterweight of the drum as you do so. The last photo shows the bottom , where you can peek through to see the numbers, also you can see where the original owner hand engraved his name and the serial number. Brass frame for the numbers has some oxidation. Though looking its age, it keeps perfect time. It is 8" long, 4" deep and 4" high. A wonderful meeting of classical elements and up-to-the-minute (for the times) technology. This will be shipped double boxed priority with insurance.
