This is an entirely unique life-sized paper sculpture of a Cherry Headed Conure, mounted on a branch, with paper leaves, inside a protective glass case, with a painted background depicting San Francisco's Coit Tower. Approximately 12" wide x 14" tall x 7"deep

I make my Vegan Taxidermy birds using crepe paper for the feathers, over a hand-sculpted form. I do not use any molds, and the only pre-fabricated part of this sculpture are the glass eyes, and the wood base and case.

These gregarious South American parrots live in large flocks. They feed on fruits, flowers and grains. Native to South-Western Ecuador and North-Western Peru, escaped pets have formed feral flocks in the Telegraph Hill area of San Francisco, Berkeley and many locales in Southern California.
