This is an entirely unique life-sized paper sculpture of a Scarlet Ibis mounted on a wood base. Approximately 8" wide x 15" tall x 18"long

I make my Vegan Taxidermy birds using crepe paper for the feathers, over a hand-sculpted form. I do not use any molds, and the only pre-fabricated part of this sculpture are the glass eyes, and the wood base.

This South American tropical bird is the national bird of Trinidad. They nest in trees and feed on crustaceans, frogs and reptiles. Dull grey as a juvenile, Ibis’ bright color comes from eating red-pigmented crabs.
