This is a Drumbo elephant in the smallest available size; 8.5 cms long by 7 cms high. It's made of yellow ABS plastic and has no opening on the underside. This is how the smallest elephants were originally designed - I guess they were supposed to be broken open once the owner wanted to collect their savings. (For the record, more reproductions are made of cheaper plastic and have thin sliding panels on the underside).

The elephant is in excellent used condition, with only minor, surface traces of use and no damages.

The Berlin-born designer Luigi Colani is renowned for his dynamic yet quirky organic furniture and industrial design. High profile commissions include Alfa-Romeo, Lancia, Volkswagen, BMW, Villeroy and Boch, Boeing, Rosenthal and NASA.
