This is an unusual one for you - made in Germany in the art deco era of the 1930s, this sweet and stylish porcelain creamer or cream jug has been hand spray-painted or airbrushed with a fabulous geometric print. This technique, known as 'spritzdekor' in Germany, was very popular there in the art deco era, and is often seen on decorated ceramic cake plates and jugs.

The sweet jug has a stepped motif on both sides in purple with circular dots tumbling down; to the 'front' there are also three pairs of parallel bands in bright orange, and the handle, base and rim are also sprayed in purple and orange. A clear iridescent lustre is applied overall.

The broad-lipped jug is in excellent condition with no damage, and is unmarked. It measures about 6.5 cm/2.5" tall and weighs 90 gms. estimated packaged weight is 400 gms.
