This scarf is made of silk habotai 5mm, nuno felted with merino wool along with some silk fibers. The wool and the silk have been hand dyed.

Incredibly light and soft. Suited for all seasons and different occasions.

Original design.

The scarf measures approx. 50 inch x 10 inch.

Nuno felting is a fabric felting technique developed by Polly Stirling. The name is derived from the Japanese word "nuno" meaning cloth. The technique bonds loose fibre, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze, creating a lightweight felt. The nuno felting process is particularly suitable for creating lightweight fabrics used to make clothing.

Care instructions: Hand wash in a gentle soap and squeeze gently. To dry, lay the scarf on a flat surface, reshaping if necessary. Set iron for wool setting, use steam heat when pressing.
