The "BLOOMING BUTTON RING" tutorial shows how to make a little different, "blooming" button ring :)
This ring is a solder-less design for those who like working with wire. You can design it with any colours, size or scale you like, all you need is one bigger button and a few beads - stones, pearls, crystals - it’s up to you. You can mix colours to create unique combinations. The only thing to remember is that the button holes cannot be smaller than the wire’s thickness as the wire has to go through them.

The tutorial precisely describes 12 easy to follow steps and shows 31 pictures of how to make the ring. The ring presented in the tutorial is the purple one. The tutorial additionally gives useful tips on oxidizing the wire.

Tools and supplies:
1. About 90cm (about 36 inch) of 18 gauge (1.0mm) round half hard wire.
This tutorial shows copper wire, but it can also be silver or craft wire.
2. If you want to oxidize the wire you’ll need liver of sulfur, fine steel wool and polishing cloth.
3. Beads or stones of your choosing:
Few beads (the bigger the beads the less of them you need)
This tutorial shows 10 quartz stones 6mm (about 0.2 inch) in diameter each.
4. Button- one big button
In this example the diameter of the button is about 3.5cm (1.4 inch).
5. Headpins- the number of headpins should equal the number of beads you are planning to use.
6. Nylon jaw pliers.
7. Chain nose pliers.
8. Round nose pliers.
9. Flush cutters.
10. Ring mandrel.
11. Rubber mallet.
12. Metal file.
