This is a Collectors series Chess Set by Classic Games. This is the Napoleon Bonaparte Edition II from 1966. Game is complete with original directions and booklet. Game is used but in good conition for its age. The box has some indention on the top and one edge on the cover has a split on it. The inside piece racks are bowing a bit but still do well for holding the pieces. The box is a nice set up with one color in the top tray and one in the bottom. The game pieces are weighted plastic with felt on the bottom a few have felt edges coming up a bit but all felt are present and secure on the bases. The game pieces are all in great shape with no chips found and the patina is great.

The description from the insert says: Each chessman is hand antiqued to a be a beautiful Gold and Silver patina. Sane Full size pieces as those in the No 203 set, but more heavily weighted. A 16 1/2" square gold and black chessboard is included. The set is packaged in an exquiste mid-nite blue, simulated Cordovan presentation chest. The cover is engraved in silver leaf suggested retail (1966) $40.00."

The King is the tallest and stands 5" tall. The booklet included gives a history about each piece and who they were. This is a great piece for game collectors or history buff's.
