This is a really lovely chinese pith painting from the mid to late 19th century. These paintings were often incorporated into albums. The detail on the painting is amazing and the colors are so vibrant and beautiful. The painting is in a vintage gold metal frame. It could easily be reframed since it is not perfectly centered in the frame. The backing is brown velvet which slides out from the bottom. The painting consists of a girl carrying what looks like a lantern on a tree branch. The size of the painting is 5 1/2" by 8 1/4". The size of the frame is 11" by 14". The painting is in pretty good condition considering its age and delicacy. It has some missing pieces around the edge and a few holds and dents on the interior. Please look at it in the close-ups to see these or convo me and I'll send you more pictures.
