Hawaiian locals use the shaka to convey what they call the "Aloha Spirit". Surfers may describe it as meaning "hang loose". Bottom line is, regardless of how you interpret this sign, this is one cool wheel-thrown mug!

I threw this mug on my potter's wheel from white stoneware and glazed it with a lovely blue glaze I developed myself. The bottom of the mug is stamped with my studio logo (Rincon Pottery) and my maker's mark ('M' for Miri). The foot ring is unglazed.

I mix all my glazes from scratch, so I know exactly what is in them. The glazes I use are food safe and do not include lead or other toxic materials. The mug can be safely put in the microwave and dishwasher.

This listing is for 1 mug.
Dimensions: 4" tall, 3.25" wide, volume 13 fl.oz
