Q: Can I choose which colors are included in the set?
A: Sorry, no. As stated above "Sets are price averaged & pre-packed for quick shipping, NO SUBSTITUTIONS."

Q: How much should I use for making bath products?
A: Depends on what you're making. We primarily use for coloring soap and use at a ratio of .03% - 1% (approx a smidge to 1/8th tsp per lb) depending on the base ingredients and desired color. Each sample pack is 1 tsp so you will be able to make quite a bit with the sample set. If your soap produces colored bubbles, you've used too much. All of the powders mix best when blended with an equal portion of carrier oil or glycerin, then add to a small amount of your batch & finally mix throughout the batch. Adjust pour time or use less if speckling occurs. Recommended for use in cold or hot processed and melt and pour bases. Your base and essential or fragrance oils will impact the end result color. Use similar levels for other bath products of bath bombs, fizzies & liquid soap. Most people do not add color to body butter or lotion, but you may want to dabble with some for tanning bronzer.

Q: How much should I use for cosmetics?
A: Buyer is responsible for sourcing recipes. First check the chart to verify that the color is approved safe for use in the type of product you intend to use it for since not all colors are safe for eyes, lips and nails.

Q: Can I use these for other applications?
A: We cannot provide additional details for use in crafting outside our area of expertise. If you are seeking mica, mineral oxides /pigments, that's what these are per color description. There is no difference from one mica / oxide to another other than grain & purity. These are the smallest micron & purest quality since they are cosmetic grade. All can be used to make pastel colored bath bombs, using too much color will leave a bath tub ring. We know for sure, not good for candles intended for burning, only intended for candles used for decorative purposes. We have liquid candle dye available in our store for candles made for burning.

Q: Are these nano or non-nano?
A: Non-nano is a trendy buzz advertising word. A nanometer is simply a unit of measure most commonly used in nanotechnology and biometrics; 1 micron =1,000 nanometers. The FDA regulates cosmetic standards and suppliers MSDS information conforms with current standards of particle size measured in microns not nanometers.
