Imagine keeping warm to and fro your fall or winter wedding in this high style white mink coat of the 1970s. Strong shoulders, wide collar. Color is oyster, pearl or blonde. Technically it is Palomino in shade, or possibly a Palomino Cross. Belt is only closure. Can also be worn hanging open, or just over the shoulders.

Silk velvet lined exterior slash pockets on each side keep your hands snug and warm. Lined in creamy greyish silk satin with brocade flowers. Hidden inner pocket on wearer's right side. Applied satin patch pocket on the left is embroidered Lois B. and has a little satin bow. Matching mink belt features pass though oval "buckle" of faux pearls on a gold toned base with additional snap for security. Purchased here in Portland from the original owner's estate.

Labeled: Schumacher Fur Company Est. 1895 Portland, Oregon (black print on white label)

Please remember colors may look slightly different on individual computer screens.

Measurements

I consider this to be a medium sized fur coat. Britta's measurements are 36-28-44 and she stands 5'11" tall. Judge how it will appear on you by comparison with the added assistance of the following measurements.

-Length from back of neck to hem: 35"
-Shoulder to shoulder: 15.5"
-Bust: Up to 42"
-Hip: Up to 48"
-Sleeve length: 25"
-Sweep of hem: 60"
-Collar is 5" wide in back.
-Belt measures 34" when closed where the snap currently resides.

Condition

Very Good condition rating an 8 out of 10. Fur is supremely soft and supple. Creamy in color with no yellowing. A loose thread here and there. There are some very small pin holes where several of the pelts are joined. I only know this because I did a thorough investigation of the fur including looking inside the lining at the pelts and holing them up to the light. Can not be seen from the front. Does not affect condition or wearability.

I've been buying and selling vintage furs in Portland, Oregon (of all places) for over a decade and guarantee all my furs are what I represent them to be. Thanks to my 1926 Fur Book of Knowledge and the experience of touching thousands of furs over the years.
